How youth experiencing foster care in Minnesota can navigate the system—advice from youth leaders
If you have been separated from your family and placed in the foster care system in Minnesota, you likely have experienced trauma, fear, and many inequities. You are not alone! A’Marie, Oaisha, and Ash have all been in your same position. In this video, they talk about their experiences navigating the system and the many hardships they faced. And they provide advice for other young people on what to be aware of, how to advocate for yourself, and how to take advantage of the many resources that are available to you.
